Due to the current circumstances and in line with our risk assessment, we are restricting the number of visitors onto our school site.
Parent Meetings, Workshops and Coffee Mornings will still take place, however they will be invite only and you will need to book a place in advance. Invites will be sent out ahead of time. Where on-site meetings cannot take place we will offer virtual meetings.
At Brentfield we recognise that close partnership working with parents and carers can promote positive outcomes for our children. As part of our offer we organise regular information workshops and coffee mornings to share information and listen to feedback and ideas. Please see the school calendar for the next event.

‘Triple P’ Parenting Workshop
Brentfield hosted a parenting workshop – Triple P – an eight-week programme of two hour sessions, comprised of five group and three individual telephone sessions. Brent’s Early Help Team delivered the workshop. The workshop focused on how to positively parent and how to manage children’s behaviour and emotions. Parents explored how to build strong relationships, communicate well and encourage the behaviour they wanted to see in their children.
The five key steps to Triple P’s positive parenting are:
- Creating a safe, interesting environment
- Having a positive learning environment
- Using assertive discipline
- Having realistic expectations
- Taking care of yourself as a parent
Feedback from some of the parents included:
“I learnt about the importance of interacting with my children, understanding their needs and what my role is as a parent.”
“It’s given me new strategies such as quiet time, which is really beneficial”.
“I’ve changed the tone of my voice; I don’t shout anymore, I just change the tone of my voice to ensure I sound serious, which is working very well.”
Thank you to all of the parents who attended the sessions and we look forward to running similar workshops in the future.
