Discovery Education Coding
Within the new ICT Curriculum, starting from Key Stage 1, children should be learning how to plan and give instructions to make things happen. One way the children at Brentfield Primary School learn such skills is through using Discovery Education Coding.
By clicking on the above icon and using the log-in information your child has been given, he/she can continue to practice these skills even at home.
Another coding program we use at Brentfield, which is aimed at Key Stage 2 children is Scratch which is a language and online community where children can program and share interactive media resources such as stories, games and animation with people from all over the world. It is aimed at children 8 years and older.
This is a great website for children to read stories, play games relating to spelling, grammer. Our younger children can listen and learn songs and lots of fun word games to encourgae chidlren who are learning English as well as chidlren who just enjoy stories and songs.
Crickweb is a free educational interactive website with activities for Primary school children.
MyMaths is an interactive online teaching and homework website used by schools to help build pupil engagement and consolidate their maths knowledge.
Education City reinforces students learning in Science and helps to improve their results.
