Year 5 enjoyed sunny weather on their field trip to Roundwood Park last week.
They conducted research in the local environment by carrying out a traffic survey, practising their map reading skills and identifying land use by utilising their observation skills. They were able to draw conclusions from their findings to create a good understanding of their local area and the environmental factors that impact upon it. The geographers were mesmerized by the aviary too!
“This was the best trip ever. There was so much nature and I loved looking at the canaries!”
“It’s like Kew Gardens but warmer!”
“I can’t believe how many cars and motorcycles went by in just 15 minutes”
