This week, children in year 5 had a chilly, yet fun start to the day at Gladstone Park.
Using their knowledge about habitats, they explored how to use resources found in nature (leaves, fallen branches, pebbles etc.) to create the ideal habitat for a range of park inhabitants, such as squirrels, owls, foxes and rabbits.
The next activity involved recreating a scene in the park using the materials found around them. This was an opportunity for the children to be creative and let their imaginations run wild.
