Pupils in Year 4 have had the opportunity to work with coaches from Platform Cricket this half term. They have been coming into school every Tuesday to coach the pupils in cricket skills. This term, they have learnt how to bat, field, bowl and run between the wickets, building up to an end of term cricket match where they can practice their skills in a competition against their classmates.
Cloud: Cricket was fun because I enjoyed learning lots of new skills. Here are some of the thoughts of the pupils who took part:
Tasneem: The coaches taught us how to use different positions to hit the ball.
Salah: Cricket was a fun game to learn as we were able to work together as a team to throw the ball as soon as possible to the coach.
Maggie: I learnt how to hit the ball. I now know how to position myself when I am trying to hit the ball so it goes further.
All of the pupils have worked very hard, learnt a wide range of new skills and have thoroughly enjoyed their time working with the coaches.
