After a whole term of our houses working together to gather as many house points as possible, it was time this week to find out who the winning house was for the Autumn term.
All of our houses worked hard, going above and beyond to win house points but the winning house this term was…Hawking House!
To celebrate their success, they were treated to a celebration afternoon where they were able to spend time with their friends trying out new games and activities as well as being treated to popcorn, ice cream and a fantastic chocolate fountain.
Some children really enjoyed shooting basketball hoops whilst others competed against each other in a gladiators duel. They were also able to try biscuit decorating, have their faces painted and got the opportunity to beat the goalie (who just happened to be Santa Claus!)
All of the staff wore their favourite costumes and Miss Georgia provided the soundtrack by singing for the children throughout the afternoon’s activities.
Everybody really enjoyed their day and the children were appreciative of the time that staff had spent to make their afternoon so special.
“Thank you so much for getting the party ready. It was soooo cool! I really appreciate it and I enjoyed it a lot – it was very very fun. Next year, I hope we win again so I can have all of the fun again!” – Brielle
“Thank you for the celebration. I had so much fun and I loved the face painting” – Kyron
“Thank you very very much for organising the party for us. The piñata was so much fun and the face painting was really nice” – Tyler
Congratulations to all of the children in Hawking House and we look forward to see who will be the winning house in the Spring term!
