On Friday 7th February 2020, our school library was officially opened by The Worshipful the Mayor of the London Borough of Brent, Councillor Ernest Ezeajughi. On the day, he listened to some of the pupils reading their favourite books and even recommended a book of his own. He then spent some time with our school council telling him about his role. After a tour of the school, he then led an assembly to end our week on Children’s Mental Health and National Story Telling Week where pupils read poems they had written based on this years theme: ‘Finding Your Brave’.
When asked about his time at Brentfield Primary School he had this to say:
‘I have had such an amazing day at Brentfield. It is a fantastic school and it was good to see children’s positive attitudes towards their teachers and learning. I would recommend anyone to visit the school to see the amazing work that is going on.’
