This week, Platinum class have been learning all about Roald Dahl. Over the week, they have read some of his stories and drawn inspiration from a range of his books to create their own dirty beast poems. They have learnt how reading and writing plays a crucial role in everything and how we can take ideas from our real lives to help us create our stories. Did you know that Roald Dahl’s inspiration for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory came from his job as a chocolate taster for Cadbury’s chocolate? Over the years, Roald Dahl taught us all very important lessons through his books and words which still apply today. One of our favourite messages comes from his book Fantastic Mr Fox which teaches us to believe in ourselves and be confident. In this story, we can see that Mr. Fox is able to achieve a lot because he believes in himself and oozes self confidence which the pupils of Platinum class demonstrated today when the presented their assembly. Well done.
