As we come to the end of the second week of our delicious new lunch menu, developed with the help of Chefs in Schools, we thought that you might like to see how much work goes into preparing the delicious and nutritious food that we are serving at lunchtimes.
Chef Guimas has been working with our lovely cooks to prepare a wide range of dishes from freshly breaded fish for our fish and chips to homemade flatbread to go with the delicious sweet potato and chickpea coconut curry.
Wherever possible, all food is homemade on site from local, British ingredients.
The team are really enjoying working with Chef and are keen to see what new skills they will be learning next half term.
One of the most popular dishes this week was the vegetable taco with Mexican chilli beans as well as the honey roasted carrots with crispy kale, a vegetable that many of the children hadn’t tried before. Children are enjoying trying new tastes and flavours and are eager to see what is on the menu each day.
