Honor Goodsite Recycling Event

Posted: 18 July, 20196 August, 2019

This year as part of an ongoing commitment to building strong relationships with our schools and local community around Wembley Park, Quintain and the other 4 contractors McLaren, Wates, Sisk, and McAleer and Rushe invited us to take part in the Considerate Contractors Honor Goodsite Recycling Event.

The event took place on the 27th November 2018 at the Yellow Pavilion in Wembley Park. Children from Brentfield and Mitchell Brook took part in a construction competition making paper arches. The designs had to be well-structured and well-presented to the group of architects who judged children’s work. Each group had to display excellent teamwork and collaborative thinking throughout the whole task.

Both schools worked together, so it was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to make new friends and discover their own strengths in designing. The winning project was made out of plait looking arch which won for its playful attributes.

We are so proud of our “Growing Architects” and we cannot wait for the competition next year!
